Colour in the garden

Colour in the garden

If you consider gardening to be a form of artistic expression, then you may be interested in this examination of the role of colour in the garden. A brief look at the artist’s use of colour will lead into a discussion of the different moods and effects we can create with colour. We will look at ways in which well-known gardeners and garden writers have used colour, from the famous White Gardens of Sissinghurst and Hidcote to the bold and exciting effects being created today. After discussing how we use colour in our garden at Mas Baronet, we will look at a selection of plants that you can use to maintain specific colour themes in your own garden throughout the year.
